Unless otherwise instructed by you, Rio Grande Regional Hospital will include your name in our patient directory during your stay.  This will allow you to receive visitors, telephone calls, mail and flowers.

In accordance with law, and in keeping with our long-standing respect for patient's rights, any patient may request that no information be released.  Should you choose to opt out of the patient directory, please notify our admitting personnel upon registration or by dialing extension 6701, this number is not available 24 hours a day.

Should you be contacted directly by members of the news media regarding your illness or condition, please refer them to the Marketing Department at extension 3110 or Administration at extension 6117.

Condition Reports

Any personal information regarding your diagnosis and treatment must come from your physician, and this information is only available to members of your immediate family whom you designate to receive it.
